what I offer

Mending Moon is a queer-owned, fully licensed, private tattoo studio located in Blue Hill, Maine. I aim to provide an energetically conscious approach to tattooing, that is unique and deeply personal.

My style is organic, nature inspired, and free flowing. Natural depictions of fauna and flora, their interactions and relations to us, is predominantly the sole subject matter that I bring to life on skin. I rarely tattoo the same design twice. Below are the two types of sessions that I offer.

Energy Read Sessions

The design is brought forth through a grounding and centering process of asking your body and spirit what they need from this tattoo. As you settle your mind and are present in your body I act as a conduit to bring energy and messages forth for you. This manifests as images of animals, plants, and symbols that make their way across your energy landscape. These could be beings you're familiar with, or they could be new to you. I don't choose anything for you, I simply tell you what I see. If you don't want to have what I see for you tattooed, that is absolutely okay! There is no pressure to move forward with it if you choose not to. Through the nature of this work, I can't look again to find different beings for you as that's not the way this works. A consultation is required to find the design elements, so I'll have to time to sketch and draw the final design before your tattoo appointment. This can be in person if you're local, or over the phone if you're not. This technique is something that I'm still exploring, so I will change and improve this offering as I go. The trust of allowing me to see such a personal energetic space is something that I cherish and treat with the utmost honor. 

Flash or Custom Sessions

Flash are pre drawn designs that I have posted in my Instagram highlights. I don't change anything about the designs except in very select cases -- they are tattooed as is. Like all tattoos I do, the size can be altered to your specifications. Don't see anything that calls out to you? A custom tattoo may be right for you! With this method I create the design through the lens of your vision. We work together to bring the design to life and make sure it's exactly what you're looking for.

This practice is client centered always. I hold space for you and your unique energetic experience to manifest. I will work with you to ensure that you are confident in your design and placement choice. I will also do everything I can to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible. Our line of communication is always open while I support you throughout the tattoo process. My studio is private, meaning that I don’t accept walk-in clients. When you are in my studio for a scheduled session, that time is reserved just for you.

The work you and I do is deeply personal. Each tattoo is as unique as the person receiving it. Energy naturally flows between you and me, and is positively manifested through the tattoo. I am honored to support you in your journey of connection and healing, as it unfolds.
